Description

This kit is the missing link between your student model amp and the 200A amplifier.  It comes all the components needed to add vibrato and an aux output to your 206A Student Model Wurlitzer Piano.

Late model aux-out production started at serial #102905 (schematic #203720-S-3).  If your piano's serial number falls before this, use the EARLY set of transistors.  If your piano's serial number is later, then use the LATE set.

Wurlitzer 206a vibrato/aux output upgrade kit.

I recently bought the Wurlizter 206a vibrato/aux output upgrade and it worked out well.

While most of the parts could be sourced out individually for less, (though not including time and shipping), I'm glad I let Vintage Vibe do all the necessary legwork of supplying all the required parts, including the photocell and variable resistor that fits the factory circuit board layout. Everything's properly labelled and they've provided an excellent knowledge base and very helpul video tutorial for installing the kit.
All this, and the great outcome makes me pleased with going this route.

I followed the video step by step and carefully installed the components, always double checking everything was in the right place and correct polarity and pretty soon I had all the components installed and a working vibrato and direct record output. Just follow the video tutorial when in doubt and it's pretty fail safe.

I was lucky and it worked correctly once it powered up, I didn't feel a need to adjust anything further, the vibrato sounded right. I'm 100% happy with my purchase and the fast shipping.

Instructions are minimal...but not as complicated as it seems!

When I first opened the bag for this kit, I was overwhelmed by the number of parts! I have to agree with the other reviewer--the instructions/directions are pretty limited. The videos available are very helpful, but low resolution, so there were a number of times where it was hard to tell what part or position on the PCB was being referenced. But if you have some experience using a soldering iron, it's a totally doable project if you take your time and double check your work as you go. Kind of like putting together a difficult Lego set!

The kit is great, could use better instructions.

Everything about the vibrato/aux kit is excellent, but the instructions leave a lot to be desired. There are steps highlighted in the video that aren't represented on the schematic (disabling the mic circuit), and the aux installation isn't represented at all. Installing the aux isn't a huge deal, but it would be helpful to get some recommendation guidance on dealing with the power wiring when mounting the aux pot.
