New life for an old an old amp

At the time of installation, the power filter capacitors in my 1979 Suitcase 88 were 44 years old--pretty ancient as electrolytic caps go!

Additionally, the power-on "bump" had become annoyingly/dangerously loud.

Installation of the Vintage Vibe "Janus" power supply was a breeze--simply follow the VV team's step-by-step instructions! (I highly recommend printing them out for reference while you work). The replacement Caps are 12000mF (vs the 11000mF units in the old circuit) and rated at 50VDC--a small but welcome improvement to the original design--and the new power-on relay fixes the notorious "pop" problem.

As usual, Chris and his team have developed an elegant, affordable and easy solution for preserving these classic "Janus-style" amps.

This mod is HIGHLY recommended!!
