This is what we do and this is what we are known for. We know these amps inside and out from years of design and repair. We even make our own brand new amplifiers. We receive amps from all around the world as well as locally from New York City, repair them, and ship them back to you.

Guitar Tube Amplifier Repair and Restoration

In addition to vintage electric piano amps, we specialize in guitar tube amplifiers from any year. We offer electrical repair and restoration as well as amazing custom grill, tolex, and tweed work for your cabinet. We have a fast turn around and expert experience in everything we do. If you are local bring it by, if not you can ship the entire amp to us, or, if the speakers are definitely good, just remove the amp chasis and send only that.

With a passion for old tube amplifiers, Paul Herb has been building, repairing and modifying guitar and bass amplifiers professionally since 1989. His list of clients include some of the top artists in the music industry: Paul Simon, Steve Vai, Talking Heads, B-52’s, Tony Visconti, Tommy Iommi to name a few. He also restored several of John Lennon’s amplifiers and his Fasfisa in the early ‘90’s. Now he brings his expertise to Vintage Vibe. He can get your amp running the way it was meant to.

• Repairs

  We service and repair vintage keyboards on a professional level. We are fair, honest and to the point. We will repair your piano with all we know how; we will finish the job in a speedy manor because we know it is important to you to have your gig up and running. We do not invent or sell extras to boost sales. We repair what needs to be repaired; we will discuss options with the client and leave it up to them for any further refurbishment. We have built our reputation on craftsmanship and fairness; we intend to keep it that way.

• Once repairs are finished

  Since we operate on a professional level for you, we expect the same from you. If you plan on having us do work for you, please have the money to pay for it when it is ready. We do not like to store keyboards for customers as space is limited and money has been put out for the initial repairs thru parts and labor. We will store your piano for 2 weeks maximum after work is thru. After 2 weeks there will be a charge of 20.00 dollars per day storage fee.

• Estimates for work

  Any inspection performed will be charged at a minimum of 1 hour =95.00. If you go ahead with the repair, we will wave the fee.

• Rhodes Suitcase Electric Piano Power amp repair - $175.00 - $250.00 per module plus parts (depending on blown outputs)
