In our custom shop we rebuild these keyboards from the ground up, replacing felts, rebuilding action assemblies, re-building tone generating assemblies, rebuilding amplifiers to extreme cosmetic makeovers. We can take the job as far as the client would like to go. We can also work within the client’s limited budget in most cases. We get jobs from all over world and have a wide range of clients.
The Wurlitzer Electric Piano has been a specialty of Vintage Vibe’s for many years; we are tied to the past with one foot in the future in our approach and technique of the Wurlitzer Electric Piano. We have a genuine love of the instrument and in our opinion the Wurlitzer Electric Piano is by far the coolest sounding and best engineered mechanical Electric Piano.
As far as the Rhodes Piano goes, we stop at nothing to design, manufacture and implement a mix of new and old ideas and techniques in our customization of the Rhodes Piano. Usually when we are finished with a Rhodes Piano or Wurlitzer Electric Piano we have a hard time giving it back to the client. While basic repair can be the backbone of many companies’ income, we at Vintage Vibe decided we were not into mediocrity by way of quick fixes and selling many keyboards at cheap prices. We decided we would take the high road and enlighten our selves and our clients to produce quality over quantity. It is a logical step toward the proper preservation of these fine instruments.
