Repairs

If we do the repair, the cost is absorbed into the final repair cost. Our goal is always to work within our customers budget without any surprises in the end.

Sometimes the customers budget and goals are just unrealistic to the job. Once in a while when it comes to the repairs at hand the customer is truly unaware of what the piano really needs. This is of course due to inexperience with the mechanical aspects of a their piano.

At this point if the budget is not there it is difficult for us to do the job knowing we would be giving back a piano with issues unattended to. It would be worse to do the repairs and work within the customers budget but not do what truly needs to be done.

It would be like building the roof without pouring a proper foundation, eventually it will all need to be rebuilt. This would reflect negatively on our company. So if it's not done right, we would just have to pass on the job.
We need to send pianos out of our shop with a clean bill of health.

The average repair in our shop is 4-8 hours of shop labor time plus parts and tax. This comes out to around 450.00 to 850.00. Repairs can often go 10-12 hours and go up to around 1500.00 dollars anything after that is in the Restoration category.
