Vintage Vibe offers replacement felt for Wurlitzer hammers.These felts are used as a back check for the fly to regulate hammer throw and let off.
Thickness of the butt felt plays a part in the hammer throw. Thicker felts were used in certain years to govern the let off and hammer throw. Our reproduction felts are thinner than most stock felts and allow you to increase the let off and throw.
Sold individually or in sets of 64.

The felt itself is obviously quality and they’re cut to the right sizes, but at some point VV swapped to a different felt that is almost exactly like the fluffy, original felt found and completely defeats the purpose of replacing hammer butt felt for a longer throw. Hopefully, the switch is temporary!!
