After years and years of funking around, your Clavinet will eventually need its hammer tips replaced. Not only will age be a deterrent to good tone but also softer tips can suck the good tone from your Clavinet.  The proper hammer tips are a big part of the tone generation along with the proper string. Vintage Vibe produces Clavinet tips that are made more firm than most and it is for this reason that they do not pop and click like other softer tips. There is nothing charming about a pop or click on a Clavinet or a recorded track. Not only do our tips pull off cleanly and quietly from the strings but they also fret each string consistently with more clarity attack and better sustain.
